MADRID, November 30. /TASS/. An explosion occurred in the Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid, injuring one, El Mundo reported Wednesday.

According to the newspaper’s sources, the explosive device was in a parcel received by the injured person.

The police have cordoned off the territory around the embassy, and an investigation is underway.

The injured person was hospitalized. According to the newspaper, the explosion occurred at about 13:00 local time.

Ukrainian Foreign Ministry announced it has increased the security of embassies around the world after the incident.
