Death toll from warehouse fire in central Moscow up to five

One more person is still missing, a spokesman for the Russian emergencies ministry’s Moscow city department said

MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/. The death toll for the warehouse fire in central Moscow has risen to five, a spokesman for the Russian emergencies ministry’s Moscow city department told TASS on Sunday.

"Three dead bodies were found while clearing the debris," the spokesman said, adding that one more person is still missing.

The fire at the flower warehouse on Komsomolskaya Square was reported at 15:13 Moscow time. Seven people were evacuated from the building. The flame partially destroyed floor structures between the building’s first and second floors on an area of 500 square meters. The fire was localized on an area of 2,500 square meters.

It was not the first fire in this building Thus, on November 14, 2018, a fire consumed an area of 700 square meters. No one was hurt.
