Gas supplies to Transnistria to be backed by Russian loan

President Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed his gratitude to Russia for the financial aid in overcoming the energy crisis provoked by halted Russian gas transit via Ukraine

CHISINAU, February 10. /TASS/. Subsequent gas supplies to Transnistria will be provided by a Hungarian company at the expense of a Russian loan, President of the unrecognized republic Vadim Krasnoselsky wrote on his Telegram account.

"Transnistria will be provided with gas by a Hungarian company with participation of Moldovagaz. The Hungarian supply became possible with the Russian lending and functional support," the president said.

Krasnoselsky expressed his gratitude to Russia for the financial aid in overcoming the energy crisis provoked by halted Russian gas transit via Ukraine.

"I thank representative of the Russian Energy Ministry for help. I would like to allay concerns of Transnistrian residents. The republic will be provided with gas. The energy system is being stabilized," he added.
