MOSCOW, April 12. /TASS/. Russian potato exports surged by 1.8 times year on year in the first quarter of 2024, the Federal Phytosanitary and Veterinary Supervision Service informed.
"Russian potato exports over the first quarter of 2024 was 1.8 times more than during the first three months of the last year. Supplies of root crops moved up twofold and pome fruits - by 3.4 times," the authority said.
The regulator also noted the increase in agricultural animals export by 2.2 times as of the end of the first quarter of 2024. Cattle shipments skyrocketed by 6.8 times.
Exports of ready meat products gained 1.5 times year on year in the reporting period.
