MOSCOW, April 5. /TASS/. Russia and Belarus have accomplished many goals in all areas of their joint work, but the results of their economic cooperation are worth a separate mention, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on Wednesday.
"Very much has been done as a result of our joint work in all areas," Putin said. "But of course, it’s especially pleasant to note the results of our work in the economic area."
Russian-Belarusian trade increased by 12% over the past year and it’s "impressive" in absolute terms, he said.
"Our statistics shows it at $45 billion, yours at almost $50 billion," the Russian president said. "It’s a serious result of our joint work."
