BANGALORE, February 6. /TASS/. Russian state oil company Rosneft plans to increase hydrocarbon production by about 5% by the end of 2023, the growth in 2022 was 3%, CEO Igor Sechin told reporters on the sidelines of the India Energy Week.
"[We expect production] to be good, with growth. In 2022, it also grew by 3%, and this year it will be more, by 5%," Sechin said.
In January-September 2022, Rosneft produced 3.81 million barrels per day of liquid hydrocarbons, which was flat in comparison with the same period in 2021. In general, hydrocarbon production over this period increased by 2.2% - up to 4.97 million barrels of oil equivalent per day. Rosneft has not yet disclosed production results for 2022.
In 2021, Rosneft increased hydrocarbon production by 4.9% to 4.985 million barrels of oil equivalent per day. In absolute terms, production reached 1.82 billion barrels of oil equivalent, or 245.3 million tons of oil equivalent.
