Yandex to split Russian and international divisions — company

It is reported that the Board of the Netherlands-based Yandex N.V. has commenced a strategic process to review options to restructure the group’s ownership and governance in light of the current geopolitical environment

MOSCOW, November 25. /TASS/. Businesses of self-driving cars, cloud technologies and educational services will continue functioning in Russia and their international divisions will be developed independently, Yandex technology company said on Friday.

A special Board committee of the company will explore different scenarios and steps, including "development of the international divisions of certain services (including self-driving technologies, cloud computing, data labeling, and ed-tech) independently from Russia," Yandex said.

The Board of the Netherlands-based Yandex N.V. "has commenced a strategic process to review options to restructure the group’s ownership and governance in light of the current geopolitical environment, with a view to ensuring the sustainable development and success of the group’s diverse portfolio of businesses over the longer term," the company added.
