ASTANA, November 17. /TASS/. McDonald's outlets in Kazakhstan will suspend operations from November 18 due to constraints of local supplies, the company's press service said on Thursday.
"McDonald's in Kazakhstan (Food Solutions KZ LLP) will suspend operations of all its restaurants from November 18 because of constraints in local supplies. The company endeavors to resume operations as soon as possible. Opening time of restaurants will be communicated later," the company said.
Food Solutions KZ is working in Kazakhstan for more than six years and is among leaders in the fast food restaurants segment, the press service noted. The company has 24 McDonald’s restaurants in several cities.
McDonald’s franchises in Kazakhstan, Belarus and certain Russian regions belong to Kazakh businessman Kairat Boranbaev. He was arrested in March 2022 within the framework of investigations of a major theft criminal case.
