Russian central bank chief prefers not to ‘test bottom’ in economy

It is reported that the situation in the global economy and the balance of risks moved in recent months toward a "tougher" scenario of developments

MOSCOW, November 10. /TASS/. Governor of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina said on Thursday at the Finopolis forum that she would not like to "test the bottom" of the Russian economy.

"Indeed, I do not like to test the bottom on any issues," the central bank chief stated. "I said earlier and reiterate now that we should merely speed up our structural transformation in response to any worsening of the financial situation," Nabiullina noted during the discussion.

The situation in the global economy and the balance of risks moved in recent months toward a "tougher" scenario of developments, the head of the Russian regulator said earlier.
