Two more banks in Kyrgyzstan suspend servicing Russian Mir cards

Bai-Tushum informed its customers that it also "suspends servicing Mir bank cards"

BISHKEK, November 4. /TASS/. Two commercial banks in Kyrgyzstan - Optima Bank and Bai-Tushum announced suspension of operations with Russian Mir payment cards, the banks reported on their websites.

"We hereby inform you that Optima Bank has decided to suspend servicing Mir payment cards. The bank has suspended the following operations with Mir payment systems - operations with POS-terminals and ATMs in the acquiring network, incoming money transfers from Mir payment system," Optima Bank said in a statement.

Bai-Tushum informed its customers that it also "suspends servicing Mir bank cards".

Since September 2022, several banks in Kyrgyzstan have announced suspension of activities with Mir cards.
