Nord Stream pipeline segment completely destroyed — operator

The vessel chartered by the operator has arrived for the survey of the gas pipeline in the Sweden’s waters and it would take 3-5 days to complete it

MOSCOW, November 2. /TASS/. Nord Stream AG has completed the initial data gathering on the gas pipeline damage location in the Sweden’s exclusive economic zone, the Nord Stream pipeline operator said on Wednesday.

"According to preliminary results of the damage site inspection, technogenic craters with a depth of 3 to 5 meters were found on the seabed at a distance of about 248 m from each other," the company said. "The section of the pipe between the craters is destroyed, the radius of pipe fragments dispersion is at least 250 m. Experts continue to analyze the survey data," the pipeline operator said.
