Richest Russians lose upwards of $83 bln since early 2022

Bloomberg has been publishing the Billionaires Index, which includes information on the 500 richest people on the planet, since March 2012

NEW YORK, November 1. /TASS/. The wealth of the richest businessmen in Russia has declined by $83.4 bln since the beginning of 2022, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index released on Tuesday.

Vladimir Potanin, President of Interros holding and Nornickel mining company, is on the list - his wealth now stands at $29.8 bln, down $1.08 bln. Leonid Mikhelson, Chairman of the Management Board of Novatek, has lost $5 bln since January 2022; his net worth is projected to be $27.4 bln. Alexey Mordashov, Chairman of the Severstal Board of Directors, lost $7.78 bln and now has $21.1 bln.

The list also includes Chairman of the NLMK Board of Directors Vladimir Lisin with a fortune of $20.2 bln after losing $7.8 bln, former CEO of Lukoil Vagit Alekperov, who lost $1.86 bln, the owner of Metalloinvest Alisher Usmanov with $3.38 bln lost, Novatek shareholder Gennady Timchenko with $8.35 bln lost, and former beneficiary of EuroChem Andrey Melnichenko with $3.88 bln lost.
