Gazprom Germania is under regulator’s administration — German Ministry

The decision was agreed within the framework of the German government, Robert Habeck revealed

BERLIN, April 4. /TASS/. The German Economy Ministry established trust management of the Federal Network Agency over Gazprom Germania, Minister Robert Habeck said on Monday at a press conference.

"The Federal Network Agency will exercise trust management by September 30," Habeck said. This is "temporary regulation," he noted. "The German government does everything necessary to support energy security of Germany," the Minister added.

"Uncertainties of legal nature appear" and the decision to appoint the trustee was made with consideration of importance of the company for the German market, Habeck said. Berlin does not want that Moscow can influence on the situation regarding Gazprom Germania, he added. The decision was agreed within the framework of the German government, the Minister noted.

Gazprom Germania is the operator of several large gas storages in Germany.
