Russia’s Battlegroup West destroys 85 Ukrainian heavy drones, EW station over past day

The battlegroup’s fighters also located and destroyed 61 enemy UAV control centers

MOSCOW, August 11. /TASS/. Units of Russia’s Battlegroup West have shot down and destroyed 85 heavy drones, 41 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and an Anklav electronic warfare station of the Ukrainian armed forces over the past 24 hours, the battlegroup’s spokesman Ivan Bigma reported.

"Air defense crews and mobile armed units shot down 41 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles, 85 heavy combat hexacopters, and four enemy loitering munitions. Combined arms units of the Battlegroup West, including unmanned systems troops, destroyed up to 215 enemy personnel, a tank, 24 motor vehicles, a Giatsint-B towed field gun, a D-30 howitzer, three mortars, and an Anklav electronic warfare station," he said.

In addition, he said, the battlegroup’s fighters located and destroyed 61 enemy UAV control centers, a Starlink satellite communications station, 29 ground-based robotic systems, and a Ukrainian field ammunition depot.
