MOSCOW, May 26. /TASS/. Rostec’s latest Citadel anti-aircraft artillery system, armed with a 30mm cannon, was demonstrated for the first time at the 1st International Security Forum held in the Moscow Region, a TASS correspondent reports.
The display features a combat module with a ZAK-30 30mm cannon and a surveillance radar system.
According to the developers, each module contains 300 rounds of ammunition, with a slant range of up to 1,000 meters for fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and up to 800 meters for small multicopters.
The system also includes a command post, which can be located approximately 1 km away from each combat module. The system has a crew of five. The ZAK-30 Citadel anti-aircraft artillery system, with a 30mm caliber, is designed to protect stationary targets from strikes by multicopter and fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles. The system is capable of round-the-clock operation.
