Russian forces eliminate over 80 Ukrainian troops in south Donetsk area over past day

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Russian military also repelled an attack by a territorial defense assault group in the area of the village of Nikolskoye in the DPR

MOSCOW, November 12. /TASS/. Russian forces eliminated over 80 Ukrainian troops in the south Donetsk area over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Sunday.

"In the south Donetsk direction, units of the battlegroup East in interaction with aircraft and artillery repulsed in their active operations an attack by an assault group of the Ukrainian army’s 128th territorial defense brigade near the settlement of Nikolskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic. In addition, they inflicted damage by firepower on amassed personnel and equipment of the Ukrainian army’s 72nd mechanized and 79th air assault brigades near the settlements of Novomikhailovka and Ugledar in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said in a statement.

The enemy’s losses in the south Donetsk direction over the past 24 hours amounted to over 80 personnel, two infantry fighting vehicles and a US-made M777 artillery system, the ministry specified.
