Russia to deploy new missile systems in five Strategic Missile Force formations — Shoigu

"It is necessary to keep a balanced approach to construction planning within budget appropriations," the defense chief said

MOSCOW, November 30. /TASS/. New missile systems will be deployed in five large units of the Russian Strategic Missile Force, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said on Wednesday.

"To wrap up this meeting, we will discuss a draft list of major construction sites for the next year. Currently, the construction of infrastructural facilities is underway in five formations of the Strategic Missile Force to deploy new missile systems," the defense chief said.

Work continues to build a multi-service testing ground of the Space Troops in the Krasnoyarsk Region in Eastern Siberia. Coastal energy infrastructure facilities in the settlement of Gadzhiyevo and Kaspiysk naval base sites have been put into operation for the Russian Navy. All the tasks set by Russian President Vladimir Putin to restore infrastructure in the country’s new regions are being fulfilled ahead of schedule. In drafting a list of major construction projects for 2023, special attention will be paid to construction in the interests of the country’s strategic nuclear forces, the defense chief stressed.

"It is necessary to keep a balanced approach to construction planning within budget appropriations. It is necessary to ensure that infrastructural facilities are put into operation concurrently with the deliveries of advanced armaments and military hardware to the troops," Shoigu said.
