Russian soldiers released from Ukrainian captivity return to Moscow

The previous prisoner swap with Ukraine was held on November 23 when 35 Russian servicemen returned from the Ukrainian captivity

MOSCOW, November 25. /TASS/. The Russian soldiers released from the Ukrainian captivity have returned to Moscow, according to a video posted by Russia’s Defense Ministry on Friday.

The video shows the Russian soldiers who were met at the Chkalovsky airfield near Moscow.

"The custody conditions, to put it mildly, were not good but, importantly, we are alive. All of the guys want to return home and all of them miss their home very much. It is morally hard there [in captivity] but no one gives up," said Roman, one of the released soldiers.

Russia’s Defense Ministry announced on November 24 that 50 Russian soldiers had returned from the Kiev-controlled territory as a result of negotiations. It further said that all the released Russian soldiers would undergo medical treatment and recovery at its medical institutions and would receive required medical and psychological assistance.
