MOSCOW, November 10. /TASS/. Russian air defense forces shot down nine Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles and intercepted over 20 HIMARS and Olkha rockets and three HARM anti-radar missiles in the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov reported on Thursday.
"In the past 24 hours, air defense capabilities shot down nine unmanned aerial vehicles in the areas of the communities of Golikovo and Chervonopopovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Kirillovka, Yegorovka and Novoandreyevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Vasilyevka in the Zaporozhye Region, Vesyoloye and Krynki in the Kherson Region," the spokesman said.
"In addition, they intercepted 21 HIMARS and Olkha rockets in the areas of the settlements of Vysokoye, Tomarino, Antonovka, Nikolskoye and Novaya Kakhovka in the Kherson Region, and also three HARM anti-radar missiles in the areas of the communities of Guselskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Nikolskoye and Korsunka in the Kherson Region," the general said.
Russian troops repelled an attack by the Ukrainian military and foreign mercenaries in the Kupyansk area in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"In the Kupyansk direction, up to two enemy companies reinforced by Neo-Nazis and foreign mercenaries made unsuccessful attempts to attack Russian troop positions in the area of the settlement of Kuzemovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic. The enemy’s units were halted and dispersed at far approaches to the defense line by active operations of our troops and artillery fire," the spokesman said.
Russian forces destroyed over 90 Ukrainian servicemen and militants, one tank and four combat armored vehicles, the general specified.
Russian forces thwarted an attempt by two Ukrainian reinforced platoons to advance towards two communities in the Lugansk People’s Republic, eliminating about 70 militants, Konashenkov reported.
"In the Krasny Liman direction, Russian troops foiled an attempt by two Ukrainian reinforced platoons to attack in the areas of the settlements of Stelmakhovka and Ploshchanka in the Lugansk People’s Republic," the spokesman said.
As a result of damage inflicted by firepower, the enemy lost about 70 troops killed and wounded, one infantry fighting vehicle and three pickup trucks, the general specified.
Russian troops are carrying out a maneuver in strict compliance with the plan to move to the left bank of the Dnieper River, Konashenkov reported.
"In the Nikolayev-Krivoi Rog direction, units of the Russian Group of Forces are carrying out a maneuver to move to prepared positions on the left bank of the Dnieper River in strict compliance with the approved plan," the spokesman said.
Russian troops repelled a Ukrainian army counter-attack near the settlement of Nikolskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic in the southern Donetsk area, Konashenkov reported.
"In the southern Donetsk area, a counter-attack by Ukrainian troops in the area of the community of Nikolskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic was thwarted," the spokesman said.
Russian artillery and army aviation strikes wiped out about 55 Ukrainian militants, one tank and two combat armored vehicles, the general specified.
Russian combat aircraft, missile troops and artillery obliterated two command posts of the Ukrainian army and foreign mercenaries in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"In the past 24 hours, operational-tactical and army aviation aircraft, missile and artillery troops destroyed two command posts of the Ukrainian military and foreign mercenaries in the areas of the city of Nikolayev and the settlement of Sukhoi Stavok in the Kherson Region, and also 46 artillery units at firing positions, manpower and military hardware in 153 areas," the spokesman said.
Fighter aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a Su-25 ground attack plane of the Ukrainian Air Force in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"Fighter aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a Su-25 plane of the Ukrainian Air Force in the area of the settlement of Malomikhailovskoye in the Nikolayev Region," the spokesman said.
The Russian Aerospace Forces also shot down a Ukrainian Mi-8 assault helicopter near the community of Rizdvyanka in the Zaporozhye Region, the general added.
Russian troops wiped out a depot of fuel for the Ukrainian military hardware in the Dnepropetrovsk Region and an artillery ammunition depot in the Nikolayev Region in the past day, Konashenkov reported.
"In the area of the settlement of Annovka in the Dnepropetrovsk Region, a depot of fuel for the Ukrainian military hardware was obliterated," the spokesman said.
In addition, Russian troops destroyed a Ukrainian artillery ammunition depot in the area of the settlement of Novoaleksandrovka in the Nikolayev Region, the general added.
In all, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 333 Ukrainian combat aircraft, 173 helicopters, 2,479 unmanned aerial vehicles, 388 surface-to-air missile systems, 6,491 tanks and other combat armored vehicles, 885 multiple rocket launchers, 3,564 field artillery guns and mortars and 7,158 special military motor vehicles since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine, Konashenkov reported.
