Russian forces strike eight command posts in Ukraine operation, top brass reports

The railway deliveries of reserves and equipment to the area of combat operations have been substantially impeded now

MOSCOW, November 1. /TASS/. Russian combat aircraft, missile and artillery troops hit eight Ukrainian army command posts in the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov reported on Tuesday.

"Operational-tactical and army aviation aircraft, missile and artillery troops struck eight Ukrainian army command posts in the areas of the city of Nikolayev, the settlements of Bereznegovatoye in the Nikolayev Region, Andreyevka in the Kherson Region, Vodyanoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Kupyansk, Stepovaya Novoselovka, Ivanovka and Golubovka in the Kharkov Region, and also 63 artillery units at firing positions, manpower and military hardware in 154 areas," the spokesman said.

Russian troops struck all the designated military command and energy targets in Ukraine by precision weapons, substantially degrading command and control of Ukrainian battlegroups, Konashenkov reported.

"A massive strike delivered on October 31 by long-range air-and sea-based high-precision weapons against Ukrainian control system sites, communications and energy facilities substantially disrupted command and control of Ukrainian battlegroups and their logistics," the spokesman said.

The railway deliveries of reserves and equipment to the area of combat operations have been substantially impeded now, the general said.

"In addition, production at Ukrainian defense enterprises has been disrupted," Konashenkov reported.

Russian troops thwarted Ukrainian army attempts to advance in the Nikolayev-Krivoi Rog area, eliminating over 110 militants, the spokesman said.

"In the Nikolayev-Krivoi Rog direction, Russian troops thwarted by their active operations the attempts of the Ukrainian army’s units to advance towards the settlements of Mylovoye, Sukhanovo, Bruskinskoye, Kostromka and Zelyony Gai in the Kherson Region. As a result of damage inflicted by firepower, the enemy was pushed back to initial positions. The enemy lost over 110 Ukrainian personnel," the spokesman said.

During the battle, Russian troops also destroyed one Ukrainian tank, eight combat armored vehicles and eight pickup trucks, the general added.

The Ukrainian military lost over 150 troops and foreign mercenaries in its unsuccessful attempts to attack in the Kupyansk area, Konashenkov reported.

"In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to attack by a battalion tactical group reinforced by foreign mercenaries in the areas of the communities of Nikolayevka and Kuzemovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic and Orlyanka in the Kharkov Region. All the attacks were repelled," the spokesman said.

As a result of damage inflicted by firepower, the enemy lost over 150 Ukrainian servicemen and militants, three tanks, four armored combat vehicles and six pickup trucks, the general specified.

Russian troops thwarted a Ukrainian army attack in the Krasny Liman area in the past day, Konashenkov reported.

"In the Krasny Liman direction, preemptive artillery fire and our troops’ operations against the Ukrainian army’s company tactical groups advancing in march formations thwarted the enemy’s attempts to switch to an attack towards the settlements of Chervonopopovka and Makeyevka in the Lugansk People’s Republic," the spokesman said.

As a result, Russian troops eliminated over 30 Ukrainian personnel, four infantry fighting vehicles and three pickup trucks, the general specified.

The Ukrainian military fired over 20 artillery shells against the town of Energodar and the area close to the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in the past day, Konashenkov reported.

"The Kiev regime continues provocations with the aim of creating the threat of a man-made disaster at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. In the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian military fired over 20 shells against the northwestern outskirts of the town of Energodar and the area adjacent to the nuclear plant. The bombardments were carried out from the settlement of Marganets in the Dnepropetrovsk Region controlled by Ukrainian troops," the spokesman said.

By retaliatory fire, Russian artillery units suppressed the enemy’s weapon emplacements, the general said.

"Radiation levels in the area of the nuclear power plant are normal," Konashenkov reported.

Russian troops destroyed three Ukrainian army ammunition depots in the Kherson Region and the Donetsk People’s Republic in the past day, the spokesman said.

"Three ammunition depots were obliterated in the areas of the communities of Kolodezi and Nevskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Novaya Kamenka in the Kherson Region," the spokesman said.

Russian fighter aircraft shot down a Su-24 bomber of the Ukrainian Air Force in the Dnepropetrovsk Region in the past day, Konashenkov reported.

"Fighter aircraft shot down a Su-24 plane of the Ukrainian Air Force in the area of Apostolovo in the Dnepropetrovsk Region," the spokesman said.

Russian forces destroyed two US-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radars in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics in the past day, Konashenkov reported.

"In the area of the settlement of Belogorovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic and also Soledar in the Donetsk People’s Republic, two US-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radars were obliterated," the spokesman said.

Russian air defense forces destroyed nine Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles and shot down six Olkha rockets and a Tochka-U ballistic missile in the past day, Konashenkov reported.

"In the past 24 hours, air defense capabilities destroyed nine unmanned aerial vehicles in the areas of the settlements of Yevgenovka and Krasny Liman in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Voyevodovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Energodar in the Zaporozhye Region, Vasilyevka, Kalininskaya, Doslidnoye and Chervonoye Podolye in the Kherson Region. In addition, they shot down a Tochka-U ballistic missile in the area of the community of Antonovka in the Kherson Region and also six rockets of the Olkha multiple launch rocket system near the city of Donetsk," the spokesman said.

In all, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 329 Ukrainian military aircraft, 167 helicopters, 2,402 unmanned aerial vehicles, 384 surface-to-air missile systems, 6,233 tanks and other combat armored vehicles, 881 multiple rocket launchers, 3,544 field artillery guns and mortars and 6,937 special military motor vehicles since the beginning of their special military operation in Ukraine, Konashenkov reported.
