Russian forces strike Ukrainian armor by Iskander precision missiles

After accomplishing the combat launches against the designated targets, the launchers left shelters at a maximum speed and changed their launch sites to deliver strikes on new targets

MOSCOW, April 25. /TASS/. The Russian Defense Ministry posted a clip showing Iskander tactical missile systems delivering pinpoint strikes on hangars with Ukrainian military hardware and ammunition during Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine.

During their special military operation, Russian forces continue delivering precision strikes on key Ukrainian military sites, the ministry stressed.

"According to reconnaissance data, Ukrainian armaments, military hardware and ammunition were concentrated on the territory of depots in hangars for troop supplies. The military equipment and armaments were amassed in the depot area for their subsequent delivery to Ukrainian combat groups. The reconnaissance data were confirmed by technical reconnaissance means, following which Iskander tactical missile systems delivered strikes on the depots," the ministry said.

After accomplishing the combat launches against the designated targets, the launchers left shelters at a maximum speed and changed their launch sites to deliver strikes on new targets, it said.

The Iskander is a precision weapon with a striking range of up to 500 km. The missile’s warhead can wipe out actually any target: enemy command posts, military convoys and air defense capabilities. The Iskander system can employ both ballistic and cruise missiles that generate deception electronic interference in their final flight path and are invulnerable to enemy air defenses. A cruise missile can fly at ultralow altitudes and follow terrain features, remaining invisible for enemy air defenses.
