Russian Smerch rocket launchers wipe out camouflaged Ukrainian arms depots — top brass

The Russian forces made accurate calculation of the target location and delivered a massive rocket strike

MOSCOW, April 21. /TASS/. Combat teams of Russian Smerch multiple launch rocket systems wiped out Ukrainian arms and ammunition depots at a camouflaged airfield, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Thursday.

"According to reconnaissance data, Ukrainian troops concentrated ammunition, combat equipment and armaments on the territory of a camouflaged airfield for troop supplies. The reconnaissance data was confirmed by reconnaissance technical means, following which the units of multiple launch rocket systems delivered a strike on the depots," the ministry said.

The Russian forces made accurate calculation of the target location and delivered a massive rocket strike. After fulfilling the combat task, Smerch launchers exited shelters at a maximum speed, assumed new positions and delivered new strikes against the targets and again changed positions, it said.

Smerch multiple launch rocket systems reliably eliminate targets and reconnaissance squads report exceptionally pinpoint surgical strikes by the rocket troops, the Russian Defense Ministry stressed.

Smerch battalions are assigned with wiping out key enemy military facilities. They incapacitate and eliminate command posts, arms, ammunition and fuel depots, communications centers, air defense systems and other major targets located at a large distance.
