MOSCOW, March 22./TASS/. The Russian side opened eight humanitarian corridors on March 22, while Ukraine requested four more additional routes, Mikhail Mizintsev, chief of Russia’s National Defense Management Center, said on Tuesday.

"From 10:00 on March 22, 2022, the Russian side once again opened humanitarian corridors from Kiev, Chernigov, Sumy and Kharkov: one humanitarian corridor to the Russian Federation and one towards the western borders of Ukraine, via the territories controlled by the Kiev authorities," he said.

According to Mizintsev, the Ukrainian authorities additionally requested four routes from Zaporozhye, cynically ignoring the humanitarian corridors to Russia. To ensure the evacuation of civilians, forcibly held by the nationalists in the blocked communities, the Russian Armed Forces observe in full the ceasefire on all routes, including those proposed by Kiev, Mizintsev stressed.
