ANKARA, December 13. /TASS/. The future of Russian bases in Syria will be decided in Moscow’s talks of the new authorities in Damascus, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said.

"The issue of Russian bases in Syria is linked to the negotiating process between the Russians and Syria’s new authorities. Today, Russia has actually withdrawn its units deployed at various locations in Syria and they have arrived at the bases. Now, some equipment will probably be taken to Russia by air. But the development of this issue is a matter of the short-and medium-term perspective. We will keep an eye on the situation," he said in an interview with the NTV television channel.
