MOSCOW, January 23. /TASS/. Wagner PMC founder Yevgeny Prigozhin has called the United States a criminal syndicate and warned that he has many very upsetting "secrets and witnesses" for Washington.
"I have many secrets that are so upsetting to America. I have witnesses who remember how the CIA trained Osama bin Laden, who brought bags of money and weapons for the Islamic State (terrorist group, banned in Russia - TASS) in Syria and other countries. They coached cutthroats and terrorists around the world so that there would be trouble everywhere - in Europe, Africa, Asia and South America. Only the earthly paradise called the United States should be calm," said Prigozhin as quoted by his press service on his Telegram channel on Monday.
He warns that the task of the United States is to "split Russia into small pieces, and then do away with China and other rivals" in order to remain the largest and most powerful country in the world.
"Who was the only one in world history to drop atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki without experiencing any consequences? Who staged wars and revolutions in Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Mozambique, Central Africa and so on?" Prigozhin asked.
"Therefore, if some see Wagner PMC as a criminal organization, then the United States should be regarded as the most powerful criminal syndicate that exists on the money of the whole world. Next to this criminal syndicate, Wagner PMC looks rather like a vice squad," Prigozhin stressed. At the same time, he drew attention to the fact that most countries preferred to avoid conflicts with the United States, while those governments which dare rise in revolt against Washington are "usually declared anti-democratic, then criminal, and eventually terrorist."
"The Wagner PMC has not committed any crimes," he concluded. "Some repeatedly tried to blame us for various crimes in different parts of the world for days on end. But, unlike US paramilitary organizations, Wagner PMC destroys only the enemies of peace and does not commit crimes."
On US charges against Wagner PMC
On Friday, White House National Security Council coordinator for strategic communications John Kirby said the US had decided to designate Wagner PMC as a transnational criminal organization and would soon impose more sanctions on it. Reuters cited sources as saying the restrictive measures of the US Treasury, in particular, would freeze Wagner PMC’s assets and ban US citizens from doing any business with it.
Earlier, the US authorities put Wagner PMC on a sanctions list.
