Death toll in Somalia explosions climbs to 100 — Reuters

Another 300 people were injured

MOSCOW, October 30. /TASS/. The number of people killed in the October 29 attack by militants from the Al-Shabaab terrorist group on Somalia’s Education Ministry in Mogadishu has risen to 100 with another 300 injured, Reuters reported on Sunday citing the country’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.

Earlier, the Sky News Arabia TV channel reported 30 casualties in twin car bomb explosions in front of the ministry carried out by suicide bombers and in an ensuing shootout between the militants and security services in the agency’s building.

Somalia’s Shabelle Media Network reported that the airlines of Qatar, Turkey and Ethiopia had cancelled their Saturday flights to Mogadishu over possible terror attacks.
