OANA General Assembly participants to discuss mass media cooperation strengthening

TEHRAN, October 24. /TASS/. Participants in the 18th General Assembly of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) opening in Tehran on Monday will discuss changes in the information space and closer cooperation among mass media in the post-COVID epoch.

Chief executives of twenty largest news agencies from more than fifteen countries will attend the General Assembly to be held with support of the Iranian news agency IRNA. TASS Director General Sergey Mikhailov heads the TASS delegation.

The official opening of the World without Coronavirus photo exhibition of OANA will take place on the sidelines of the forum. The OANA Award for Excellence in News Agency Quality is planned to be given to TASS at the closing meeting. The Agency received the award for the Digital Assets Management System.
