Zelensky sanctions Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov’s wife, daughter

The same sanctions have been imposed on the daughter’s husband, Alexander Vinokurov

KIEV, October 21. /TASS/. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has put into effect the decision by the National Security and Defense Council that sanctions the wife and daughter of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

According to a document published on the Ukrainian presidential website, sanctions have been imposed on Maria Alexandrovna Lavrova (born in 1950) and Yekaterina Sergeyevna Vinokurova (nee Lavrova, born in 1983) for the period of 10 years. The measure includes restrictions such as asset freezes and bans to buy land.

The same sanctions have been imposed on the daughter’s husband, Alexander Vinokurov (born in 1982, a businessman, president of the Marathon Group company).

Zelensky has imposed sanctions on a total of 2,507 individuals and 1,374 entities in Russia, Belarus and some other countries.

On June 9, the Ukrainian president sanctioned Russian President Vladimir Putin and other top Russian officials including cabinet members such as Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
