UN General Assembly approves open vote on resolution regarding referendums in Donbass

The decision was made with a simple majority: 107 delegations supported the proposal, 13 voted against while 39 abstained

UNITED NATIONS, October 10. /TASS/. The UN General Assembly approved a proposal for open vote on the US draft resolution condemning the referendums in Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. The proposal was introduced by Albania.

The decision was made with a simple majority: 107 delegations supported the proposal, 13 voted against while 39 abstained.

Earlier, Russian Permanent Representative to the UN said that Moscow advocates a secret vote.
