Sweden’s Security Service reports significant damages to Nord Stream pipelines

It is stressed that the investigation into the Nord Stream events is being conducted by the Swedish Security Service and is headed by a National Security Unit prosecutor

STOCKHOLM, October 6. /TASS/. Suspicions regarding the sabotage act at Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines have become stronger after completion of the crime scene survey by the Security Service (SAPO) of Sweden. Explosions inflicted huge damages to gas pipelines, SAPO said in its press release.

"The crime scene investigation has shown that there have been detonations near Nord Stream 1 and 2, within the Swedish economic zone, resulting in extensive damage to the gas pipelines," SAPO said.

"The investigation into the Nord Stream events is being conducted by the Swedish Security Service and is headed by a National Security Unit prosecutor. As the crime scene investigation has been completed, the prosecutor has lifted the cordons around the area," the Security Service added.
