Barbaric shelling of Donetsk followed Western weapons supplies to Ukraine - official

According to Deputy Head of the DPR's People's Militia Eduard Basurin, over the past 10 days, the city has been shelled using 155 mm NATO artillery

DONETSK, June 13. /TASS/. The barbaric shelling of Donetsk, including the city center, started after Western countries began to supply Ukraine with heavy weapons, Deputy Head of the DPR's People's Militia Eduard Basurin said on Monday.

"Primary shelling in the city center [of Donetsk] started after the West decided to supply heavy weapons to Ukraine," he said. "Such barbaric shelling happened when other countries started supplies of large quantities of weapons to Ukraine," Basurin told reporters.

According to him, over the past 10 days, the city has been shelled using 155 mm NATO artillery, as well as Smerch and Grad MLRS.
