Poroshenko and his accomplices will face criminal charges for corruption, Timoshenko warns

KIEV, March 11. /TASS/. Head of the Batkivshchyna faction in Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada (parliament), Yulia Timoshenko, has called on incumbent Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko to pull out of the presidential race, accusing him of corruption and money laundering in the defense sector.

"After the election (the presidential election will be held on March 31 - TASS), Poroshenko and his accomplices will face criminal charges for corruption in the army, money laundering and withdrawing funds to offshore accounts through their companies," she said at a meeting of leaders of parliamentary groups and factions.

"I am calling on Poroshenko to pull out of the election."
