LONDON, April 1. /TASS/. Two thirds of US citizens believe that the United States should seek a swift end to its operation against Iran, whether its objectives have been reached or not, according to the results of a poll conducted by the Reuters agency in conjunction with Ipsos.
According to the data published on March 31, 66% of respondents expressed this opinion, with 27% reporting no objections to a lengthy conflict as long as it leads to the necessary goals being achieved. A swift end to the hostilities was also supported by 40% of Republicans surveyed.
Reuters noted that 60% of US residents surveyed stated that they disapprove of US strikes on Iran, with 35%, conversely, expressing support for military action against the Islamic Republic. More than 50% of respondents, including 39% of Republicans, believe that the potential impact of the conflict around Iran on their personal finances will be mostly negative.
The poll was conducted from March 27 to 29, with 1,021 US citizens surveyed.
