NOVO-OGARYOVO, October 5. /TASS/. Soldiers and officers of the Russian army and defenders of Donbass were taught enduring values, among which are a sense of duty, loyalty to their roots and readiness to come to the rescue as part of their upbringing, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"It is on these enduring values of our people that soldiers, officers of the Russian army, volunteers and militia of the heroic Donbass, who defend our right, their own right to choose their own, independent path of development, are also brought up," Putin stressed, praising the teachers who instill these values to their students.
According to him, all residents of the country and the new regions "are united by the great Russian language, our common history <…>" and upbringing. It is based on a sense of homeland, humanity, generosity, wisdom, kindness, respect and love for children. "It is no coincidence that our country has this wonderful, sincere holiday, Teacher's Day, established back in Soviet times. It is always filled with joyful, touching feelings," the Russian president added.
