Putin's priorities are Russia's development and raising living standards - Peskov

Presidential spokesman did not comment on whether Putin could announce any new decisions in the economic or the social sphere

MOSCOW, June 13. /TASS/. Russia's development and boosting its residents' standard of living are invariably biggest worries for Russian President Vladimir Putin, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with TASS.

"Of course, our president's goal is the development of Russia and the improvement of our citizens' living standards. This has always been, is, and will continue to be our president's priority," he said.

At the same time, Peskov did not comment on whether Putin could announce any new decisions in the economic or the social sphere. "Let's wait for the speech," Peskov said.

The 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will be held on June 15-18. The plenary session of the forum with the participation of Vladimir Putin will be held on June 17. According to Roscongress, representatives from more than 90 countries are expected to attend SPIEF this year. As of June 1, more than 2,700 business representatives have confirmed their participation in the forum.
