Syrian forces deliver strike at terrorist facilities to retaliate drone attack

According to Oleg Yegorov, the retaliation strike destroyed a militant training camp and their underground shelters near the settlement of Ashkhani Takhtani

MOSCOW, November 6. /TASS/. Syria’s missile and air forces delivered a strike at Jabhat al-Nusra (a terrorist organization outlawed in Russia - TASS) facilities retaliating a drone attack, Oleg Yegorov, deputy chief of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties in Syria (division of the Russian defense ministry), said on Sunday.

"Syria’s missile and air forces delivered a strike at the facilities of the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group in response to a massive drone attack staged by terrorists on the positions of Syrian government troops near Salma in the Idlib de-escalation zone, which claimed the lives of five Syrian soldiers," he said.

According to Yegorov, the retaliation strike destroyed a militant training camp and their underground shelters near the settlement of Ashkhani Takhtani. Ninety-three militants, including field commanders Saddam al-Dedali and Abdullah al-Ahmed, were killed and 135 terrorists were seriously wounded.

According to the Russian defense ministry, Syrian strikes also destroyed a drone workshop, a mobile radar station and up to 40 ready-to-use combat unmanned aerial vehicles. IT made it possible to prevent terrorists’ terror attacks on Syrian government and army facilities.

Yegorov also said that five Syrian soldiers were killed and five more were wounded as a result of a series of drone strikes delivered by terrorists at the government army positions from the Ghani area.
