Ukrainian army shells DPR territory 40 times in past day

The attacks killed a civilian and left another four wounded

DONETSK, October 16. /TASS/. The Ukrainian Armed Forces shelled the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) 40 times in the past 24 hours, the DPR mission to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination said in a statement on Telegram on Sunday.

"The mission reported 40 shelling attacks by the Ukrainian armed units in the past 24 hours," the statement reads.

The attacks killed a civilian and left another four wounded. The Ukrainian military’s shelling involved 155 mm and 152 mm artillery and heavy mortars; a total of 175 munitions were fired. Ten settlements came under fire, where 12 homes and a civilian infrastructure facility suffered damage.
