MOSCOW, October 5. /TASS/. Russian and US representatives have raised the possibility of cooperation in the energy sector during their contacts, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

"Indeed, the possibility of interaction and cooperation in the energy sector comes up in our discussions with our US counterparts," the Kremlin spokesman said.

At the same time, Peskov declined to comment on The New York Times’ claims that the sale of Lukoil’s foreign assets is among the issues being discussed by Moscow and Washington as part of talks on resolving the Ukrainian conflict.

"I will not comment specifically on this report," the Kremlin spokesman said at the briefing.
