MOSCOW, March 19. /TASS/. Moscow and Kiev have conducted a 175-for-175 prisoner exchange, the Defense Ministry said. As a goodwill gesture, Russia also handed over to Ukraine 22 severely injured prisoners of war in need of urgent medical care.

Prisoner swap

- Russia and Ukraine conducted a prisoner exchange on the 175-for-175 formula.

- The released Russian servicemen are in Belarus, where they are being provided with psychological and medical assistance and given the opportunity to contact their relatives.

- They will be taken to Russia for treatment and rehabilitation in the Defense Ministry’s medical institutions.

Goodwill gesture

- As a goodwill gesture, Russia also handed over to Ukraine 22 severely injured prisoners of war in need of urgent medical care.

Mediation

- The United Arab Emirates mediated the return of Russian servicemen from captivity.
