MOSCOW, December 17. /TASS/. Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, head of Russia’s Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Protection Troops, dedicated years to uncovering crimes committed by the Anglo-Saxons and NATO, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated.

"Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov worked systematically for years to provide evidence of crimes committed by the Anglo-Saxons," Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel. She highlighted NATO-led chemical weapons in Syria, British manipulation of prohibited chemicals, incidents in Salisbury and Amesbury, and the deadly activities of US biolabs in Ukraine among the crimes he exposed.

"He worked bravely for his country, for the sake of truth," Zakharova added.

On the morning of December 17, an explosive device planted in a scooter exploded near the entrance of a residential building on Ryazansky Avenue in Moscow, investigators revealed. Kirillov, 54, and his aide were killed in the blast. The Russian Investigative Committee has classified the explosion as a terrorist attack, Committee Spokeswoman Svetlana Petrenko told TASS.
