After Oreshnik launch, NATO fears Moscow’s resolute response to aggression — intel agency

Moscow has solid evidence of the West’s aggression against Russia, which is "an extremely disturbing sign for NATO," the SVR said

MOSCOW, December 12. /TASS/. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is concerned that aggression against Russia could serve as the basis for Moscow’s decisive response following the test of the advanced Oreshnik hypersonic intermediate-range ballistic missile, the press office of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) reported on Thursday.

"The concerns within the alliance’s headquarters have grown significantly after the Russian Armed Forces test-launched the Oreshnik hypersonic intermediate-range ballistic missile. Brussels fears that Moscow’s substantiated arguments could be used not in the juridical field but to justify strong retaliatory actions," the press office said in a statement.

Moscow has solid evidence of the West’s aggression against Russia, which is "an extremely disturbing sign for NATO," it said.

Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service has indicated that "NATO headquarters is deeply worried over Russia’s statements regarding the direct involvement of the United States, Great Britain, and France in strikes using Western-made long-range weapons deep inside Russia," it said.

"NATO experts acknowledge that it is unrealistic to hide the complicity of Western countries’ personnel in missile attacks on Russia. It is now well understood that missile systems handed over to Kiev cannot be operated and their flight plans cannot be programmed without specialists from the manufacturing countries," the press office said.

NATO lawyers fear that "Moscow could charge Western states with armed aggression against Russia," it said.

"As NATO legal experts assess, the matter may not even proceed to international judicial panels for adjudication. However, such accusations, which will be supported by compelling evidence, are likely to be received with understanding by countries in the Global South," the press office said.
