Kremlin reveals no details on format of Putin's New Year's address

Asked to specify what the main topic of the address would be, Dmitry Peskov said: "New Year"

MOSCOW, December 29. /TASS/. The Kremlin will not announce the format of Russian President Vladimir Putin's New Year's television address to the country's citizens, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

Answering the question whether the New Year's TV address of Russian leader has already been recorded and what it will be devoted to, the spokesman said: "You will find out about it on New Year's Eve."

Asked to specify what the main topic of the address would be, Peskov said: "New Year."

Each year, the president addresses Russians minutes before New Year's Eve, summarizing the passing year's results while standing in front of the Kremlin. Last year, for the first time, Putin wished Russians a Happy New Year while surrounded by military personnel at the headquarters of the Southern Military District.
