KIEV, October 31. /TASS/. The Dnieper, Dniester and Kremenchug hydropower plants (HPPs) in Ukraine were hit by explosions, the Ukrainian media outlet Zerkalo Nedeli reported on Monday.
The media outlet gave no other details.
Chairman of the We Are Together with Russia public movement Vladimir Rogov said earlier on Monday that a substation located near the Dnieper HPP in the Kiev-held city of Zaporohye had been struck, which partially disrupted power supply.
The Dnieper HPP is the fifth step of the Dnieper cascade of hydroelectric power stations and Ukraine’s largest hydropower plant. The Kremenchug HPP is the third step of the Dnieper cascade and is located in the town of Svetlovodsk in the Kirovograd Region. The Dniester HPP is located near the town of Novodnestrovsk in the Chernovtsy Region in southwestern Ukraine.
