Special services in LPR detain man for passing data on Russian troops location to Kiev

It is reported that the suspect used a Ukrainian-controlled Telegram channel, falling for assurances of anonymity given by the moderators

LUGANSK, October 26. /TASS/. Russian special services have detained a resident of the Lugansk People’s Republic who passed data on the location of Russian troops to Kiev, the Luganskinformcenter news service reported, citing LPR’s State Security Ministry.

The report said the suspect, Andrey Tsyganov, gathered and passed the data via social networks.

"He used a Ukrainian-controlled Telegram channel, falling for assurances of anonymity given by the moderators," the report said.

The ministry said the crime carries a penalty of up to 20 years in prison. A similar case was reported on October 22 when law enforcement agents apprehended a resident of the city of Lisichansk.
