Ukrainian forces attempt to break through defenses in north Kherson Region — official

Earlier, Kirill Stremousov pointed out that the reports about Kiev’s accumulation of 60,000 troops for an offensive on Kherson were lies

KHERSON, October 26. /TASS/. The Russian military have repelled several attacks launched by the Ukrainian armed forces near Davydov Brod in the north of the Kherson Region over the past 24 hours, when up to four Ukrainian battalion tactical groups made attempts to break through Russian defenses, Kherson Region Deputy Governor Kirill Stremousov said on Wednesday.

"In the direction of Kherson, Ukrainian Nazis consisting of up to four battalion tactical groups have made desperate attempts to expand their bridgehead from Davydov Brod towards Ishchenka in the past 24 hours. Airborne troops supported by artillery of the 42nd Guards Motor Rifle Division managed to repel all the attacks, thus holding their positions," Stremousov wrote on his Telegram channel.

Earlier, Stremousov pointed out that the reports about Kiev’s accumulation of 60,000 troops for an offensive on Kherson were lies.

On October 8, Acting Kherson Region Governor Vladimir Saldo announced that civilians who live on the right bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson Region would be relocated to its left bank due to the threat of flooding, which could be triggered by a Ukrainian military strike on the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant. Saldo warned that Ukraine was accumulating substantial forces near Nikolayev and Krivoy Rog. On October 19, travel to the right bank of the river was limited.
