Crimean court sentences Ukrainian for aiding and abetting terrorist battalion

As member of the terrorist battalion, Rustem Gugurik was responsible for furnishing material supplies, food and clothing

SIMFEROPOL, October 26. /TASS/. The Kievsky District Court in the Crimean capital of Simferopol sentenced Rustem Gugurik, a Ukrainian national, to eight and half years in prison for providing food and clothing to an armed terrorist unit, the Federal Security Service (FSB) in Crimea and Sevastopol said in a statement on Wednesday.

"The court convicted Ukrainian national Rustem Gugurik, born in 1971, who had been apprehended by FSB officers for being involved in the activities of the illegal armed unit Noman Celebicihan Battalion, designated as a terrorist organization based on the Russian Supreme Court’s decision dated June 1, 2022," the statement reads. "Simferopol’s Kievsky District Court sentenced the defendant to eight years and six months in a high-security penal colony," the court added.

As member of the terrorist battalion, Gugurik was responsible for furnishing material supplies, food and clothing.
