MOSCOW, October 24./TASS/. The West is trying to instill the anti-Russian sentiment in Armenia through numerous foundations, NGOs and media acting on orders from Washington and Brussels, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote in a commentary on Monday.

"We can see what unprecedented pressure from outside the brotherly Armenia comes under. Steps are being taken to discredit Russia's policy in the region in an attempt to damage centuries-old ties between our countries and peoples. Numerous foundations, NGOs and media outlets acting on orders from Washington and Brussels are redoubling their efforts to instill anti-Russian moods in society," Zakharova she wrote in comments on a media request to make an appraisal of the processes underway around Armenia and the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.
