Russia ready for dialogue with all Interpol member countries — deputy prosecutor general

Pyotr Gorodov pointed out that at the Interpol General Assembly in New Delhi, the Russian delegation "did not face any politicization"

NEW DELHI, October 21. /TASS/. Russia is prepared to cooperate with any Interpol member country regardless of the political situation, Russian Deputy Prosecutor General Pyotr Gorodov, head of the Russian delegation at the Interpol General Assembly in New Delhi, told TASS on Friday.

"Russia is ready for dialogue with all countries in spite of the political situation," he said.

"Interpol is first and foremost a depoliticized police organization, which facilitates interaction among countries in the fight against cross-border organized crime," he said.

Gorodov pointed out that at the Interpol General Assembly in New Delhi, the Russian delegation "did not face any politicization."

"We are working as usual, like we did before," he added.

The 90th Interpol General Assembly was held in New Delhi from October 18-20, bringing together representatives from 166 out of the total 195 member nations of Interpol. A Russian inter-agency delegation led by Russian Deputy Prosecutor General Pyotr Gorodov attended the session.
