Ukraine periodically attempts to break through on Soledar front, says commander

"With small intervals the enemy is trying to break through, but in our direction they do not succeed," Vladimir Polupoltinnykh stressed

LUGANSK, October 21. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces periodically make attempts to break through in the Soledar direction in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), the military of the Lugansk People's Republic successfully restrains the onslaught, Vladimir Polupoltinnykh, commander of the 6th Separate Cossack Motorized Rifle Regiment named after Ataman Matvey Platov of the LPR People's Militia, told a TASS correspondent on Friday.

"We are standing on the Soledar front <...>. With small intervals the enemy is trying to break through, but in our direction they do not succeed. We have [here on the Soledar front] professionals who have been fighting for over a year. <...> We have only our people in this direction, it’s been second month that we are here," he said.

On Monday, LPR People's Militia officer Andrey Marochko reported that the Ukrainian armed forces had moved up to 2,500 troops to the area of Artemovsk and Soledar in the DPR, however, those personnel reserves were exhausted.
