Relocation-to-safety operation only for Kherson Region, assures lawmaker

It is reported that the acting governor of the Kherson Region has said it’s necessary to move people away from the zone of military clashes to Russian regions to make sure they are safe

MOSCOW, October 19. /TASS/. There are no plans to relocate the residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and the Zaporozhye Region, the measure will only affect the Kherson Region, Viktor Vodolatsky, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Ties with Compatriots, told TASS on Wednesday.

"There will be no evacuations, except for the Kherson Region. The acting governor of the Kherson Region has said it’s necessary to move people away from the zone of military clashes to Russian regions to make sure they are safe. That’s because the Nazis and mercenaries who are waging war on the other side don’t care much whether it’s a child, an elderly man or a woman: They kill indiscriminately. So, it’s for their safety that this operation is being conducted today to evacuate civilians from the territories that are the hardest hit from the bombardment by Ukrainian fascists," the lawmaker explained.
